Who we are and what this covers

AP Jewellers (“we”, “us”) is A.P. Jewellers, a jeweller in Agra. This policy covers this website (apjewellers.com), the AP Jewellers rate app for iPhone and Android, and the web app at rates.apjewellers.com. It explains what we keep about you, why, who helps us keep it, and how to have it deleted.

If you do not sign in

You can read our rates without an account. We then keep nothing that names you: only the short server logs described below. This website remembers your light or dark choice in your own browser; it uses no tracking cookies.

What we keep when you sign in to the rate app

• Mobile number or e-mail address — to send you a one-time login code and to know it is you. With it we keep the date you joined and when you last signed in.
• Your name — you give it when you sign up.
• Business details, only if you give them — firm name, GST number, address, city and state.
• Your watch-list (“My Board”) — the markets you add or hide.
• Price alerts — the market, the price and the direction you chose.
• Chart settings — for example the time frame and the indicators you picked.
• Member offer — whether, and when, you used the app-member offer at our counter.
• Notification token — if you allow notifications, the code your phone gives us so we can send you price alerts and shop notices.

Server logs

When you use the website or the app, our servers record technical details such as the time, the page or feature used and the network (IP) address. We use them only to fix faults and to stop abuse. They are kept for about 7 days.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We use no advertising or tracking tools, and no analytics company receives your data.
• We do not show your details to other customers.

Who helps us

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service to us:

• our hosting company, which runs our servers and keeps the server logs;
• our database company, which stores account details, watch-lists, alerts and settings;
• a text-message (SMS) service and an e-mail service, which deliver your one-time login codes;
• a notification service, with Apple and Google, which delivers app notifications to phones that allowed them.

Some of them may store or process data outside India.

How long we keep it

• Account details, watch-list, alerts, chart settings and offer use: until you delete your account or ask us to delete them.
• Notification tokens: until you delete your account or ask us to remove them.
• One-time login codes: a few minutes.
• Server logs: about 7 days.

Delete your account

In the app: open the Store tab and tap Delete Account. This deletes your profile, watch-list, alerts, chart settings, notification tokens and your login.

By e-mail: write to customercare@apjewellers.com from your registered e-mail address, or call +91 91052 58080 from your registered number, and we will delete it and confirm when it is done. Server logs are not deleted early; they expire on their own after about 7 days.

Your rights

• Ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted — write to us or call us.
• Turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.
• Complain to our Grievance Officer (below). If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). You log in with one-time codes, so we never ask for or keep a password. Your data is read only by our own servers and the companies listed above. Never share a login code with anyone — our staff will never ask for it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last revised” date at the top.
