About AP Jewellers

From a single counter in Kinari Bazar — to one of the leading names in northern India.

Jewels that define legacy — what we mean by it

A piece of jewellery is the only purchase that quietly outlives the buyer. Worn at the wedding, kept through the working years, handed down at the next wedding — the same gold, redrawn for the next chapter. That is what jewels that define legacy means to us, and the standard we've worked to since the day we opened.

A.P. Jewellers began in 1998, when Yogesh Agarwalopened a small shop in Kinari Bazar — Agra's historic jewellery district. The catalogue was narrow at the start: gold chains, sold wholesale to retailers across Agra and 150 kilometres around it. The promise behind every piece, even then, was simple — the purity matches what's on the bill. Always.

That promise is the spine of everything we've built since. We're recognised for it across the trade in Agra, and it's why we're the only jewellery store in India with four Fischer 450 XRF gold-testing machines— the international purity standard used by refineries and assayers. Bring any piece in, watch us test it on the spot. The equipment isn't for show; it's how we keep our word.

Beyond purity, we take pride in best-in-class craftsmanship — our own karigars, in-house, the same hands across years. We carry exclusive designs and variety across yellow gold, antique, kundan, polki, and diamond jewellery. And we work deliberately on the customer service side too — no pressure to upsell, no hidden charges, no rush. Every day we try to give the best available jewellery at the best price.

On price specifically, we publish the live MCX bullion feed publicly at rates.apjewellers.com — the same feed prices everything in our showrooms, so any customer can verify the metal cost on the day they buy. It's a small service we built for our customers, not the headline.

The story so far

Twenty-eight years, one promise.

  1. 1998

    The first counter

Yogesh Agarwal opens a small shop in Kinari Bazar, Agra — wholesaling gold chains across Agra and the surrounding 150 km. One product line, one counter, one promise: the purity matches what's on the bill.

  2. 2010

    Amitansh joins the bench

The elder son, Amitansh Agarwal, comes into the family business. The wholesale catalogue widens from chains to the full range of gold jewellery. Within a few years, AP Jewellers settles into the top spot in Agra's wholesale market — a position it has held since.

  3. 2017

    Retail begins

Shriyansh Agarwal, the younger son, joins and opens up the original Kinari Bazar premises to retail customers alongside the wholesale trade. Word spreads through the city — the same purity guarantee that wholesalers had relied on for nearly two decades was now available across the counter.

  4. 2021

    The factory

AP Jewellers commissions its own manufacturing facility — minting AP-branded gold coins and bars (passed on to customers at workshop pricing, not retail), and producing diamond, kundan and yellow-gold jewellery in-house. End-to-end ownership of the supply chain, end-to-end accountability for purity and craftsmanship.

  5. 2022

    A showroom of its own

December 2022: the retail business has outgrown its corner of Kinari Bazar. A dedicated B2C showroom opens in Nehru Nagar — Agra's prime jewellery quarter. The catalogue widens again, this time to antique jewellery, kundan, polki, and diamond jewellery.
